The Iconic Pickwick Theatre, Park Ridge, IL
1/8″, 1:96 scale, 1″=8 feet
Built in 1928 and designed by Roscoe Harold Zook, William F. McCaughey, as well as Alfonso Iannelli, the Pickwick Theatre brings back so many fond memories to me. I grew up in Park Ridge and the iconic Pickwick is immediately recognizable to anyone from the area. This is the second Pickwick model I’ve created. The first one was made 20 years ago using drawings and an X-acto knife. I’ve brought my improved model-making skills to the table in creating this nearly-HO-scale model. Like all my models, it’s laser-cut 1/16″ thick basswood and painstakingly assembled in my studio.
