The Islesboro, Islesboro Island, MA

3/16″, 1:64 scale, 1″=6 feet

Designed by the nationally acclaimed architecture firm Shope Reno Wharton, this is my version of their beautiful Islesboro model.  I was asked to build this model in 1:64 scale by an avid S-scale model car collector. The actual house is 109 feet wide in the front. I used a satellite view to determine the dimensions. This model includes cedar-shake shingles on the walls and I included a ‘metal’ roof on the porches, and sun-rooms in back.
