This model represents the estate of Lloyd J Harriss, a distinguished individual who constructed the estate as his personal residence and later expanded it with a wing for his children. The original roof design resembled a painter’s palette, but following the addition, it was transformed to evoke the elegance of a grand piano. Remarkably, the pool remains unchanged since 1958, a resilient steel structure that has withstood the test of time. Lloyd was also the owner of Harriss Pies, a beloved local pie company that served as the primary employer for many years in the quaint town of Saugatuck. This has since been renovated into a motel.
